For ages, people have stressed on creating a healthy lifestyle for long and healthy survival of the particular individual. Healthy lifestyle is a indicator of a person’s self belief, discipline and control over his six senses.
In this age of technology, where people have become glued to their computer and TV screens the current pandemic situation being the icing on the cake . The work from home professionals due to their uneven sleep and eating habits have lost mental and physical health. This could lead to major repercussion like Hypertension ,Diabetes, Obesity and in extreme cases Cancer etc.
Healthy lifestyle includes regular physical exercise, balanced diet , proper sleeping and waking habits to name a few. Regular physical exercise and a balanced diet can prevent obesity which is prevalent among youngsters due to excess screen time and craving for junk foods like burgers, cokes etc. Balanced diet should consist equal amounts of very nutrients possible like proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals etc. Regular physical exercise does not mean intense gym sessions but a healthy amount of exercise like walking , running , cycling ,swimming etc. just to keep the body in proper shape. Dieting is extremely harmful and should be avoided as far as possible. Sleeping habits are a major determinant of a healthy lifestyle as irregular sleep habits affect mental health and causes diseases like sleep apnea, weight gain, insomnia, high blood pressure to name a few.
Unhealthy lifestyles can also lead to weakened immunity system which could lead to a person getting ill periodically to different pathogens. It also is a major contributor to diseases like strokes, heart attacks and a number of other complications in old age.
Need of the hour
The need of the hour is to promote healthy lifestyle among youngsters so that the future generations are not sufferers of their own misdeeds. The Indian government to promote such healthy habits has launched the “FIT INDIA MOVEMENT” and the “FIT INDIA APP” so that people can maintain good health from the comfort of their homes. Many UN programs have also been launched to promote good health among the world population.
So the conclusion that we come across is that if an individual is healthy the whole country will progress towards a better future.
